SLOVENIA THE COUNTRY OF THE DRAGON
from the Alps to the Adriatic Sea 24. -29. 04.2017 (6 days)

Find the legendary country of Slovenia, from Alpine landscape to Mediterranean atmosphere of the Adriatic Sea!
In the beginning we explore the highest Alpine mountain Triglav (2864 m), the national park and the scenery of Lake Bohinj. We enjoy the Pearl of the Alps, also known as crystal-clear dazzling beauty of Lake Bled. On the lake you can see the reflection of the majestic mountains and castles. There is in the middle of the lake the small, delightful island with the medieval church inviting you to pay a visit and take some photos.
Ljubljana, in English "Beloved", became European Green Capital 2016. Clean and well-kept, culturally and historically precious city center of Ljubljana has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. In one of Ljubljana's many bridges you can find one, which is decorated with statues of dragons and people in Slovenia love legends of dragons. There is one legend that Ljubljana was founded by the Greek mythological hero Jason, who wore the golden cloak. On the ship Argo Jason fled with his friends across the Black Sea to the North and along the rivers Tonava and Ljubljana. On the way they met dragon Marsh, which Jason killed. Even today there are many stories like that, which you can hear during guided tours of Ljubljana.
Slovenia's coastline is short, but charming. Pastel-colored houses of the old town of Piran were built in a Venetian style. Above the red roofs stands the city wall and the tower of St. George's church, which was built on the thirteenth century. The popular meeting places are Tartini Square in Piran and the fishing harbor promenade. By Adriatic turquoise water is recommended to have seafood with some good Slovenian wine or have a taste of ice cream in attractive cafes. By experiences of the tour operator I can recommend the refreshing feeling of turquoise water. This adventure is guaranteed to make your day and enlighten your mind.
